Dry erase board popularly known as whiteboard is the great invention that proves to be useful for humans in many ways. It is widely utilised in the field of education and offices. Though it is also used for preparing lessons, in camps, in army tents etc. There are basically two types of dry erase board one that has stands and the other has to hang on the wall. It is preferable to have the one you can hang on the wall its way better to use, however, if you don’t have a concrete surface the one uses a tripod is better. If you don’t know how to hang a dry erase board then do follow these steps.
There are three ways of hanging a dry erase board a) using screw, b) temporary hooks. There is another way that is using industrial adhesive though it is only used for the board which is having a weight between 3 to 4 lbs not more than that, thus given two ways are the most appropriate.
If you do not want to damage your wall at random places, do measure the width of the board. Mark the places in which you will drill the screw. Depending on how many studs you have, divide the measurements.
1. Place the studs into the wall
Drywall cannot hold up the board to use the stud finder. Choose the right place and mark the point. You need to place the finder onto the wall, tap the button it will keep on going inside. The beep sound will make you sure that the finder is placed in a right position.
Make an alignment with the stud and drill holes into the top and bottom of your board. It is necessary if your board’s frame is made up of metal. It is much easier to screw directly into the wooden frame. Your drill must match with the screw size.
3.Level the screws
Before placing all the screws use a level to check whether the studs are in an appropriate position. The top of your board should be even.
4. Use screw
The final step is to screw the board. Screw the board in the wall with the help of a drill machine. Do not let your screw go sideways if it does do start again. Your aim is to keep the screw straight. Try not to mess with the holes; once it is ruined you have to start it all over again.
Hooks for hanging
Select the point where you are going to place the screw, clean that area either with water or with water and vinegar. Let the area to dry before you further continue.
1. Place the hooks
You can either use sticky hooks or the screw hooks, tough the screw hooks are more stable in nature. Do measure the length and breadth of the board so that you get the proper idea of placing the hooks. While placing the hooks it is upon you if you want to show them or to hide it. It helps to identify in which area to place eyelets.
2.Measuring space between hooks
To line up the eyelets of the board it is necessary to correctly measure the gap between all the hooks.
3.Fix the eyelets
At the back of the board fix the eyelets straight by using the measurement. It is crucial, you need to place the eyelets exactly in the correct place a little bit of slanting can make the board unstable, and make it look bad.
4.Hang the dry erase board
After placing the eyelets it is time to place the board. Hang the board on to the eyelets. With the help of the level, do check if the board is straight or not. The placement of all the eyelets and the hooks should be proper otherwise it can make the board unstable.
